iPad Air
Apple has officially unveiled a new iPad: the iPad Air. The 9.7-inch Retina display has the same narrow bezel design as the iPad mini, and the overall style is similar to that of the iPad mini.
Earlier, Cook announced that 170 million ipads had been sold, or 81 percent of all tablets sold. With 475,000 dedicated apps optimized for the iPad, the iPad ranks first in user satisfaction.
The new iPad Air is just 7.5mm thick, 20% thinner than its predecessor. It has an ultra-narrow frame, is 43% thinner than the iPad 4 and weighs just 1lb.
The new iPad Air is powered by the A7 processor, which also includes the M7 coprocessor. It has a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera and a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera. It supports 1080P photography and uses dual microphones. The 3G version starts at $629 and will be available Nov. 1, 2013, in mainland China. [2]
